Our bread-and-butter is 1:1 leadership coaching at the middle- and senior manager level. We coach leaders at employers with a high percentage of frontline, lower-wage jobs; these jobs typically have the greatest challenge with employee engagement and retention. Our coaching develops leaders into the people their employees need them to be so they can flourish and become engaged like never before. We focus on simultaneously developing relational and managerial skills according to the latest organizational and neuroscience research on leadership. And we do our coaching in-person and on-site using a low-intensity, long-duration model that emphasizes practical application and models a growth mindset. Our coaching often evolves into our other practices as we discover and define opportunities to improve organizational health from the ground up.
For lower-margin employers that have plentiful lower-wage jobs, it’s critical to have effective operations. Spur helps define critical success factors and operational challenges, target processes for improvement, model systems, and identify levers to gain margin in operations.
Our goal with this service is to help leaders make great decisions to improve stability amidst uncertainty and free up cash to reinvest in their employees.
We engage HR departments and Senior Leaders to align organizational values with day-to-day behaviors that build legacy. We develop customized policies and trainings that exemplify everything the Good Jobs Movement stands for: employee-centricity, family-friendliness, and values-driven workplaces. We engage employers on helpful practices that make their jobs more valuable for their employees – which includes but isn’t limited to compensation. And our experience makes us particularly well-suited to respond to the unique challenges faced by frontline employees with lower-wages.
On the training side, we deliver services primarily to leaders nearest frontline employees, since we believe they have the opportunity to embody company culture with consistency and conviction.
